We woke up on Sunday and were dragging our feet just a bit. A whirlwind of a weekend so far...
One of the girls wanted to go to an Israeli grocery store to get some Kosher for Passover groceries for Passover (the holiday is in April).
I realize now how LUCKY I am to live in Los Angeles. The grocery store around the corner from me has a HUGE display during Passover, as do most of the other grocery stores in the area. In fact, a couple of years ago, a rabbi conducted a tour around my Ralphs (a Kroger store) to show us what was and what wasn't Kosher for Passover!
I wasn't sure about Israeli stores in the Hollywood area so we went down to the one place I was SURE would have some. We headed to the Fairfax area, which is an EXTREMELY Jewish part of town. Breakfast was at Canter's Deli. This is a historic restaurant that has been in LA for more than 78 years. The waitresses there are great. You truly get a meal and a show :)
Breakfast was pretty much omelette's all around and sides of potato pancakes. I'm sure this comes close to blasphemy, but I like my potato pancakes better.
Afterwords we walked around the Jewish stores and the Israeli markets. My friend bought what she needed.
We headed to the airport and our trip was over.
The last couple of days I've been looking at the pictures everyone has been posting to Facebook.
Despise a couple of hiccup's, we all had a great time.
There are rumblings of next time in Vegas...
Here are some final pictures.
