I have had the day from HELL
I am QUITE computer savvy. I never open attachments that look sketchy.
But I was swamped today, having a bad day already and got an email:
"You have received A Hallmark E-Card. Hello! You have received a Hallmark E-Card from your friend. To see it, check the attachment."
I tried to open the attachment! I'm an idiot!
I lost 4 hours of my day, on my busiest week of the entire year! At the end of it we just moved all my data to a new computer and shut down my old computer. IT still can't figure out how to get rid of it.
I want to catch these ASSHOLE, MOTHER FUCKER, BASTARDS who let out this virus or spyware or malware or what ever the eff it is and string them up by their toe nails!!!
So, if any one gets a great greeting on a bad day from Hallmark, DO NOT OPEN IT!!!!

I'm so sorry. I always had trouble with ecards. My family never understands why I don't read them. I hope your computer problems can be fixed. I think the computer guy had to wipe everything clean from the computer and start again when this happened to me. But he reloaded the data and it was OK. And the thing started up a lot faster.
One word: Apple
Not an uncompassionate word at all. Merely an observation that because it runs on a unix kernal, it's a bit more difficult to introduce a virus and you don't have the spyware issues, etc.
I agree with you, if we find them, flaying them alive and staking them out over an ant hill isn't good enough.
I always wondered if people actually did get caught for creating and starting viruses. You would think that it would be news worthy if they did. Hopefully the rest of your week goes better.
Oooopsie!
Oh shit, that sucks! what a nightmare...
Hey Julia, Found you on MBC. God do I HATE that crap! He/she needs to go on the naughty spot for sure! (angry eyes with you)

Yikes, I would have opened that too.
You poor thing.
Thanks for the heads up.
That stinks, I don't open E-Cards either. I hardly ever open anything with a attachment because I am scared.
Ugh.
My question about this ridiculous crap is...what's the effing point? Do the people that design these viruses actually get something out of harming my computer?
Maybe. Probably.
I'm such a computer idiot.
I'm sorry you had such a crappy day.
Big big hugs to you.
ouch!Sorry for your virus problems. I nearly caught a computer virus from just clicking on "next blog" right here on Blogger!
Man that sucks. NOT a Hallmark moment!
