Grocery Shopping

Today my in-laws had the kids, and after my husband went to work, I had a couple of hours to myself. So, after relaxing for about an hour, I decided to go grocery shopping.

Armed with my "grocery game" list, I went to Pavilions (owned by Safeway). The "list" was really good this week cleaning products especially! Also, paper towels and toilet paper. Also, mushrooms were like $.88 a package (they have been over $2 a package in the past year).

With only 30 minutes of work, consisting of cutting out coupons, I saved $58.53, of which almost $20 was just coupons.
Not bad!

Good Job! I love saving money.. but it kills me that in order to save 50 bucks, we have to spend $200
Now didja do anything with those cleaning products, or do you lose all inspiration like me?

I need to check into the grocery game.

Things must be REALLY bad now - our newspaper had NO coupons in Sunday's paper. That has never happened!

Hi SL!
The Scandies are in your neck of the woods this week in So. Cal. We're on a MAY-JUH adventure looking into bringing our blog to the small screen.
What up with the weather today?

Hi Julia! Wow - that was very impressive and reminds me to get my ass back into the coupon game!! I have been so very lazy recently with almost everything in life but this post is getting me back in gear!

I love how you arranged all of the groceries - that is a feat unto itself!

Happy Monday!

I wish I had your knack. I have no patience for grocery shopping.

Dizz - The cleaning products should be for me, but are actually for the woman who cleans the house (G-d I sound like a douche bag).

Jo - I think it was a planned couple of times a year with no coupons.

LL - If I can't do something quickly, I usually don't do it at all.

Lee - Arranging everything on the counter was actually the part that was the most fun ;)

Janna, Lucy - I'd be happy to show you exactly how I do it.

My secret is actually www.grocerygame.com

I love coupon shopping! You've done a great job. And to the person who commented about no coupons in Sunday's paper... there aren't usually coupons on Holiday weekends. It sucks, I know.
