The big monkey started a new activity in camp this week - Basketball! Mind you, my husband played ALOT of ball in school and the big monkey is 4'3" at 6.5 years old. I had no worries.
The big monkey gets in the car after camp yesterday:
Me - So, how was basketball?
Her - I SUCK!
Inner dialogue - holy crap! where did she learn the word SUCK from? Try not to laugh, try not to laugh...
Me - I'm sure you don't suck.
Her - No, I REALLY SUCK!
WTF??? Is this the summer where the big monkey goes from 6 years old to 13 years old in 3 months???

Awwwwwwwww poor baby. I hope no one told her that she sucks. And yes.. at 6 they DO start going on 113.. remember? Or was your eldest monkey not like that?
Yup, 6 is right about when the Drama Queen emerges. I have 2 Drama Queens... one has the degree to prove it (BA in Theatre) and the other one is leaving for college next month for her degree in theatre! Thank God for the laid-back boy in the middle!
