Apparently, I needed to slow down. To stop running around. I was EXHAUSTED!
I came home last night with all the best of intentions to go to the gym and maybe go to the movies. I thought I would rest for about half an hour. At 7pm, I barely got a blog post out before pretty much passing out.
I slept from about 8pm to 8:15am! I think it's been years since I have done that. I guess my body REALLY needed sleep :) 12 hours worth!
Today was back to insanity (two different recital, in different locations, back to back, and then a kids birthday party, with grocery shopping at 9pm) but wow was last night great!
I am hoping to get a little more rest tomorrow afternoon.
I think I should listen to people more often.

I love it when I click on a blog with the same colors as mine!!! LOL.
Yours has pink letters..
Cute blog. I like the photo of the man with the I love Cougars shirt. Excellent
Good for you for getting some rest!
There are those of us who care about you and your mental and physical health. I know that if you ripped open your blouse there'd be a big "S" (for SuperMom) underneath, cape on your back, etc.
However, there's a price to pay and none of us is really bullet proof. Even Superman didn't do well with Kryptonite.
Sweetie, you need more than 12 hours of sleep, you truly need a veg day. Honestly, I do them here and there. Really, I just VEG. I fool around on the computer, watch crap on t.v., read, and yeah in between throw a load a laundry in out of the washer and dryer BUT that is it. I do not run around, I do not make dinner because really the family will survive a night without me whipping something up. YOU NEED TIME FOR YOURSELF. No other people, no friends, just you alone. My kids will pop in and chitchat but overall I VEG, either on the couch, in my room or on a nice day I head out to my Gazebo.
You will feel so much better and you will be up and running around the next day just fine but feeling a lot better!!!
Hit 40 - Thanks for stopping by. We felt that we just HAD to take a picture of the guy balsy enough to wear that shirt :) I stopped by your blog - you have a great blog!
Deb - Thanks. I truly felt like a different person afterwords.
LL - You are SO SWEET! I try to be the best mom I can be - even when I want to throw the monkey's out of the car. And I do need to slow down more often - I just wish there were more hours in the day.
Lucy - I would love a veg day, or even weekend. I usually get a couple of veg hours, but then I ruin it by going grocery shopping for part of it. My in-laws may take the monkeys on a mini-vacation for a couple of days this summer. Hopefully I can veg then.
