I am an adult! Yet, every year at this time I feel the need to dress up for Halloween.
Kids have such cute costumes you can buy! But adults, all the costumes make women look like prostitutes! How can I wear one to work? And how can I take my kids around trick-or-treating when social services would be called on me???
Any suggestions? What do you wear? Please - I need help!

When all else fails my fall back costume is scrubs, lab coat, stethascope, etc (from hubs stash of course). I'll take any excuse I can to wear scrubs to work. A witch, fairy, or angel are also easy costumes.
I always 'create' my own from my closest or my mom's closest. For a few years I was a FLAPPER. I used one of my mom's old cocktail dresses that was embellished at the bottom with stuff and I wore it Knee length, got pearls, long strands, got long gloves and a Flapper hat, stockings with the seam in the back and flapper shoes and everyone loved it. I was totally covered up, very tasteful but kind of flashy too. It was one of my favorites.
Anyways, just use your own comfortable clothes and you will feel better. You will be amazed what you can come up with if just take a look at your closet.
