Free Food

I have come to the conclusion (yes, I am a slow learner) that there is no free lunch. I sign up for all of the restaurant reward programs. Once in a while I get a $20 gift card good towards food, but even that is at a location where each appetizer is almost $20!

Usually, I get emails with "free lunch" or simply "FREE" in the title. Once you open the email you see that you indeed get a free entree, when you PURCHASE another entree of equal or greater value. The ones that are my favorites are for free items -free onion rings, free fries, etc... Those are all well and good until you are trying to eat healthy. Then those emails are plain annoying.

How about "free salad" or "free grilled chicken breast"? Oh no! It's really the oil, butter and flour that is cheap to make, tasty to eat and bad for you - that's what is free. Sigh!

I don't even look at anything that has the word "free" in it. I've learned the hard way that it's never EVER free.

I don't even get those "free" e-mails. Hhhhmmmm...

Find a friend and go to the "buy one get one free" places for a cheap night out!

If something looks too good to be true, it's probably is.

But the buy one, get one free meal deals are good! Not free, but greatly reduced! Hey the restaurant has to make some money!

today i found out I could get a free month from a dating site and all I had to do was spend money elsewhere for the privilege.

I can't stand this bait and switch crap. free if never just that 'free"

I hear you, nothing is ever free, maybe reduced but never free!

Yeah. That sucks! What about equal or lesser value...?

Romsford - equal or lesser value sounds perfect to me!
